“F2” FUNCTION KEY FEATURES IN EXCEL

Hello Guys,
Thank you for viewing my posts over these blog. If you have any suggestions please share with me via email or comments to improve the quality of this blog.
F2 Function Key

I came with the bucket of features to you for the Function key “F2”.
I know you most of the people know what is the common usage of this “F2” key in regular work which is
to Edit any cell, right!

Yes, obviously it is one of the features of this key but today i came with some interesting functionality of this key with the combinations of different keywords.
I am summarizing the keywords as below:

             1)      F2
             2)      Ctrl + F2
             3)      Alt + F2
             4)      Shift + F2
             5)      Ctrl + Alt + F2
             6)      Alt + Shift + F2

These are the shortcuts y which you can impress anyone working with you or your friend or anyone who all are using Excel with some Short Cut which are normal because these keys are working same but using different keyword and keys.
1)     F2                                         :              Edit Active Cell
As mentioned previously, by using only F2 key that will Edit the active Cell.

2)     Ctrl + F2                              :              Print Preview
With the help of Ctrl + F2 you can easily check the print preview which is faster than to go through the options from Manu by mouse.

3)     Alt + F2                               :              File Save As
This combination will help you out to Save As the current open Excel Workbook. Please note that this will be applicable in Microsoft Excel only. You can also use another Key for the same which is “F12”. Only by using F12 will Save As the active file which applicable for all Microsoft Office Programmes.
4)     Shift + F2                            :              Insert/Edit Comments
Some of you have kind of work to insert comments for something or sometimes you want to comment on particular cell. So, to do that you have some ways as below:
·        Shift + F2
·        Mouse Right click and Insert Comments [Right Click Button + M]
[Right Click Button is between Right Window Button and Right Ctrl]
·        Review>New Comments [Alt + R + C]

5)     Ctrl + Alt + F2                     :              File Open
Last two of these are one of the cool Features because usually people are used to use normal shortcuts. Like to open file people use Ctrl + O. But by using this Shortcut you can impress your colleges. One more thing this Shortcut will also work in other MS Office Programmes.
6)     Alt + Shift + F2                  :              File Save
As mentioned in previous point this is the alternative of Ctrl + S and will also work in other MS Office Programmes.

If you like this post then please share your comments for the same.

Kind regards,
