“F4” FUNCTION KEY FEATURES IN EXCEL (PART - 3)



Today we will talk about another combination of keyword with F4 Function Key. Which is different from previous topics.
F4 Function Key

This will help you out when you are searching any word from your database again and again. Yes, what is the procedure of finding any particular word from your database in Excel. Its like this, Go to  Edit> (SELECT) Find
as shown in Pic.3.1. which you can do by CTRL+F also.

By above steps you will get one window to in which you write word which you want to find from data. In this Picture
You can see that the active Sheet is DATA1 sheet.  Just as an example you will search “MIHIR” word from your database and you can find it easily as all of we know.

But some time it happens that you want to search this word from another databases as an example right now you are searching in DATA1 sheet and after from DATA3 sheet also here we are taking example that’s why its just two sheets there may be many sheets in your database.

And when this process is repeating again and again then its not right way to follow above steps to find particular word. Yes, you can find this repeated word just by one click by selecting OPTIONS>WITHIN=WORKBOOK>FIND ALL and you will find the word from all sheets available in all sheets in the same Workbook as shown in the below Picture.

But if you want to find the same word in another Workbook then may be you will do the same procedure which you done in previous Workbook. In this situation you don’t have to repeat it but just use SHIFT+F4 and you will get the same result  for the word which find last.
