“F4” FUNCTION KEY FEATURES IN EXCEL (PART - 1)

F4 Function Key
Hello Friends,
I came with new interesting features of Excel.
Today I will tell you about “F4” Function key, which is useful in our regular work on Excel. I ensure you that after reading this post you will be able to minimize your work very much.

There are many features of “F4” Function key. It gives you different result by using it with different combination of keys.

Here we will know what are the effects of using the “F4” Function Key. Let me explain you an example,

E.g.

F4-FUNCTION KEY FEATURES

If you have some work such like in example so what to do.
You think what’s new in this and what’s the use of  “F4” Function Key in this
type of work????? Let me explain your steps to do this work, may be you will do this by such ways which are explained below,

1)      You will go to 1 cell and color it again you will go to another cell where also want to add color and may b you will repeat this process every time where you want colors.

2)      You will select all cells by pressing “Ctrl” key and do color once. [But this is helpful only when you know that how many and which cells are to be colored but if you don’t know perfect no and they are based on some logic only which can’t be decided in advance then again follow the 1st step…]

3)      Yes, you can use Format Painter (as we can see it in Pic.1) for many cells where you want to do same format of color but for this you also have to use Mouse.

In short if you have to do repeat work just like this just use “F4” Function key. You will get the same result which you done before. This function key is not just useful to repeat to color any cell but it also useful to repeat any feature or format which you used just before it.

To do same work again and again, and to minimize it using Mouse so, the better option is to use “F4” Function Key. “F4” Function Key gives many different results by using it with other Keys so it will be explained in next post.

Thank You so much for reading this Post. If you get benefit from this post or get stuck please give me your Valuable Feedback.

Kind Regards,
Pratik Dave
